Job Summary
Electrical Controls Engineer responsible for designing electrical power distribution, PLC/ALC control systems and HMIs for data-center-focused facilities; leads panel design (Control Power, Wiring Schematics, Panel Layout Diagrams, Relay Logic); creates BOMs and sources components; uses AutoCAD, Revit, SolidWorks for engineering drawings; develops front-end HMIs, DDC and PLC-based systems; defines UI/UX configuration standards; produces project deliverables (AE drawings, shop drawings, SOPs/MOPs); oversees design configuration, IT/OT interfaces, and QA of fabrication; supports client meetings and project coordination; mentors engineers and coordinates with sales/marketing; minimal travel.
Required Qualifications
- BA / BS in Mechanical or Electrical Engineering
- 5 yrs+ engineering experience with Electrical Engineering, Automation and Controls Experience relevant to the data center industry
- Experience with PLC / ALC integration with complex data center / mission critical facilities
- Experience with Revit, AutoCAD or SolidWorks
- Electrical equipment power distribution design as it relates to UPS / Uninterruptible Power Supply, PDUs, Switchgears, wiring schematics, Panel layout diagrams
- Experience working on complex facilities design for Data Centers
- Experience with Controls systems design as it relates to Critical HVAC equipment
- Experience working with BAS protocols BACnet IP, BACnet MSTP, Modbus RTU, Modbus TCP
- Ability to read and audit one-lines / blueprints / CAD drawings, equipment submittals , layouts and controls diagrams
- Client facing experience and at times serve as primary point of client contact on various projects
- Ability to successfully work independently
- Effective communicator - both oral and written form (tech and non-tech)

- MS Office Suite (Excel, Word, Outlook, PowerPoint, Teams)
- Previous experience in the Military / Military veterans in all branches that have experience with Electrical / Mechanical is a huge plus (Navy Nukes- EMN, ETN, MMNs, Seabees, Army - Power Generation, Air Force – Power Production, Generator Techs, Maritime, Coast Guard, etc.)
