Job Summary
Maintain and support site control systems and facilities infrastructure by working with onsite technicians and external contractors on maintenance and improvement activities. Support fault finding and troubleshooting across facilities systems, interpreting control philosophies, logic diagrams, and system documentation. Assist with the design and optimisation of control strategies while providing technical support to Facilities and other departments across the site. This role is based at the Manchester manufacturing site for a global semiconductor company, focusing on automotive, industrial, and consumer applications.
Required Qualifications
- HNC in Electrical/Electronic Engineering or equivalent experience
- Experience with industrial control systems and facilities plant
- Strong fault-finding and problem-solving skills
- Ability to work independently and within a team environment
- Good communication skills
- Proficiency in Microsoft 365
- Knowledge of some or all of the following: Clean Room operation and control systems
- Knowledge of some or all of the following: HVAC systems
- Knowledge of some or all of the following: Compressed Air Systems
- Knowledge of some or all of the following: Vacuum Systems
- Knowledge of some or all of the following: DI Water Plants
- Knowledge of some or all of the following: Extraction Systems
- Knowledge of some or all of the following: Diesel Generators
- Knowledge of some or all of the following: Combined Heat and Power (CHP) Plant
Desired Qualifications
- Knowledge of TREND or Echelon BMS systems
