Job Summary
Electrical Controls Engineer responsible for design and development of electrical control systems, translating requirements into designs, reading and editing logic and wiring diagrams (single lines and P&ID's), preparing drawings and BOMs, performing factory and site acceptance tests, calibrating gas and flame sensors and other safety devices, installing control panels, troubleshooting electrical and mechanical issues, coordinating across disciplines, and mentoring team members as needed. Requires travel up to 30%, strong client-facing communication, and adherence to safety programs and engineering standards. Proficient in electrical schematics and ability to troubleshoot failures; capable of presenting technical information to stakeholders and staying current on engineering developments.
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in engineering or engineering technology
- Manage multiple projects simultaneously
- Ability to travel up to 30%, with occasional overnight travel
- Must have and maintain a valid driver’s license and clean driving record
- Must have reliable transportation to conduct client site visits
- Understanding of electrical schematics and ability to troubleshoot failures
- Excellent organizational, interpersonal, and communications skills; able to analyze and resolve problems in a timely manner
