Job Summary
The Electrical Controls Engineer will provide programming direction and support on capital, facilities, and equipment projects, ensuring compliance with Controls/Programming Standards. Responsibilities include designing and maintaining electronic systems, leading significant projects, recommending procedural changes, and collaborating with Manufacturing Engineering to enhance tooling and processes. The role demands expertise in various controls systems, programming of industrial PLCs and robotics, and a solid background in electrical engineering, particularly in manufacturing environments.
Required Qualifications
- Four year degree in Electrical Engineering
- Five years experience
- Industrial PLC and robot programming skills
- Understanding of Mechanical Power Presses and Servo Stamping Presses
- Understanding of Part Transfer Controls on Stamping Presses
- Understanding of Metal Coil Feeding Systems associated processes
- Understanding of Industrial Power Distribution Systems (12kV – 480V)
- Understanding of Hydroforming Presses and associated processes
- Understanding of Resistance MIG Welding Processes
- Understanding of Laser Welding and Cutting Processes
- Understanding of Robotics (Material Handling, MIG, Spot Welding and Sealant Dispensing)
