Job Summary
Electrical Controls Engineer responsible for leading automation initiatives, acting as system owner for automation and electrical systems, mentoring technicians and cross-functional teams, and driving reliability and improvement roadmaps for electrical and control systems. Roles include troubleshooting PLCs, VFDs, MCCs, instrumentation; training technicians; reviewing drawings; supporting design, installation, and maintenance of facility systems; leading root cause analysis; managing mid-to-large scale projects including scope, budgets, timelines, and vendor coordination; and shaping long-term automation and facility strategy.
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering or equivalent experience
- 7+ years of electrical and control systems experience
- Knowledge of medium- and low-voltage power distribution
- PLC programming and HMI design experience
- Strong understanding of electrical codes and safety standards
- Hands-on troubleshooting experience with automation systems
- Strong communication and collaboration skills
