Job Summary
Design engineered control panels using AutoCAD and develop Variable Frequency Drive (VFD) and SCADA control systems for water and wastewater applications. Create bills of materials, prepare submittal packages, and lead field start-up, commissioning, and customer training activities. Collaborate with consulting engineers and contractors to clarify requirements, review project specifications, and support complete VFD system installations. Requires a 4-year Electrical Engineering degree with 5-10 years of experience, frequent travel throughout Florida, and a base in the Tampa Bay area.
Required Qualifications
- Experience designing industrial control systems using AutoCAD
- Knowledge of harmonic filtering technologies
- Strong field troubleshooting experience with Variable Frequency Drive (VFD) systems
- Hands-on electrical experience
- Exceptional customer service and customer-facing communication skills
- Experience preparing project takeoffs and quotation
- Frequent travel throughout Florida
- Some flexibility to work remotely from other locations within the state
