Job Summary
Electrical Construction Manager to oversee nationwide healthcare construction electrical operations, leading estimating, workforce planning, scheduling, self-perform electrical work, subcontractor coordination, and project execution while ensuring safety, quality, and financial performance. Responsibilities include leading electrical estimating, quantity takeoffs, material procurement support, managing subcontractor bidding and awards, overseeing low voltage, fire alarm, nurse call, data/communications, security systems, and electrical utilities infrastructure; coordinating purchases and materials; collaborating with design, engineering, manufacturing, and construction teams; supporting preconstruction planning and constructability reviews; planning electrical shutdowns in healthcare facilities; developing manpower forecasts and labor allocation across multiple projects; determining crew sizing and labor utilization; supporting project scheduling, sequencing, and duration planning; managing submittals, RFIs, and construction documentation; ensuring compliance with electrical codes and safety requirements; enforcing SOPs and identifying process improvements; training and mentoring electrical field personnel; monitoring project financial performance including labor productivity, forecasting, and profitability; coordinating with project teams, subcontractors, vendors, and field leadership; and traveling nationwide to project sites.
Required Qualifications
- 10+ years of construction experience
- Experience managing direct labor teams within electrical construction trades
- Strong experience with electrical estimating, bidding, and quantity takeoffs
- Experience managing electrical scopes on commercial, industrial, institutional, or healthcare construction projects
- Experience with electrical systems including low voltage, fire alarm, communications, data, security, and utilities infrastructure
- Strong knowledge of electrical construction methods, building codes, and construction standards
- Ability to read and interpret blueprints, electrical drawings, specifications, and construction documents
- Experience managing project financials, labor forecasting, and project profitability
- Experience coordinating subcontractors, procurement activities, and construction schedules
- Ability to manage multiple projects and priorities in a high-volume construction environment
- Proficiency with Microsoft Office including Word, Excel, and PowerPoint
- Experience with Procore construction management software
- Strong understanding of contracts, specifications, and regulatory requirements
- Ability to communicate technical construction information to project stakeholders and field teams
- Ability to travel regularly to project sites nationwide
- Compensation: Base salary in the 115k – 140k/year range
