Job Summary
Electrical/Computer Engineer Intern - Monterey, CA: Research, design, development and test of wireless communications systems; development of digital signal processing algorithms in C/C++ for software defined radio; understand customer/operational requirements and implement new functionality into software products; develop unit test algorithms to exercise critical aspects of the system; document and communicate highly technical concepts effectively to technical and non-technical audiences; internship program with mentorship and potential to return for future summers; eligible candidates are pursuing degrees in CS/CE/EE and have experience with C/C++, Python, DSP or wireless systems; U.S. citizenship is required for security clearance.
Required Qualifications
- Pursuing degree in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, or Electrical Engineering
- Experience with software development, software defined radio, digital signal processing or wireless communications systems
- Proficient in C/C++ and Python
- Good analytical and problem-solving skills
- Good organization, decision making, and verbal and written communication skills
- High level of self-initiative and self-motivation with the ability to work under minimal supervision
- Ability to work effectively in small team settings to solve complex problems
- Security clearance requires U.S. citizenship
