Job Summary
Electrical Commissioning Lead for Data Centers. Lead the overall commissioning process on large data center projects, act as SME to ensure standards, QC, and documentation; oversee technical commissioning issues, coordinate with clients, vendors, and owners agents; manage the technical aspects of commissioning teams with potential growth into people management within 6–18 months; perform system testing for HVAC, Chillers, CRAC units, electrical distribution, UPS, generators, and emergency lighting; ensure adherence to commissioning plans, SOPs/MOPs, and comprehensive reporting; travel to multiple projects and interface with engineering, design, and field technicians.
Required Qualifications
- 5 to 10+ years experience in Electrical/Mechanical commissioning
- Bachelor's/Associate Degree in Electrical or Mechanical Engineering a plus
- A/E experience with complex facilities or mission-critical projects
- Data Center / mission-critical experience required
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills
- Experience with Level 1-5 commissioning
- Experience managing commissioning teams and developing plans for large-scale projects
- Experience with IEEE / ASHRAE procedures and protocols a plus
- Proficient in Microsoft Word, Excel, and Project
- Military experience in related fields a huge plus (Navy Nukes, Seabees, etc.)
- Willingness to travel up to 50% (or 10-20% if based near a major Data Center)
- Must live near a major airport
