Job Summary
Electrical Commissioning Lead for Data Center facilities located in Charleston, SC. Lead multiple commissioning projects, act as SME to ensure adherence to commissioning standards and QC processes, and interface with clients, contractors, vendors, and owners’ agents. Role evolves toward technical management with people management within 6-18 months. Responsibilities include developing SOPs/MOPs, generating commissioning documentation, overseeing test procedures and logs, producing comprehensive reports with recommendations, and ensuring integrated system testing of building MEP systems (HVAC, Chillers, UPS, generators, fire alarm, emergency lighting, etc.). Requires 5-10+ years in electrical/mechanical commissioning, a degree in electrical or mechanical engineering (Bachelors or Associates a plus), data center/mission-critical experience, strong written/verbal communication, and familiarity with IEEE/ASHRAE procedures. Travel up to 50% (less if based near a major Data Center) and proximity to a major airport required. Company offers competitive salaries and benefits; EOE/AA. Required Qualifications
- 5 to 10+ years experience in the Electrical / Mechanical Commissioning Field
- Bachelor's / Associates Degree as an Electrical Engineer / Mechanical Engineer a plus
- A/E experience working in complex facilities or mission critical projects
- Previous Data Center / Mission Critical experience a must
- Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal
- Experience with Level 1-5 commissioning
- Experience managing commissioning teams and developing plans for large scale commissioning projects
- Experience with IEEE / ASHRAE procedures and protocols a plus
- Possess basic knowledge of systems design for various projects
- Experience using Microsoft Word, Excel, and Microsoft Project
- Previous experience in the Military / Military veterans in all branches that have experience with Electrical / Mechanical is a huge plus
- Open to 50% Travel (not long periods of travel / just many smaller ones to check on multiple projects); UNLESS you are based near a major Data Center build and then your travel is closer to 10-20%
- Must live near a major airport
