Job Summary
Electrical Commissioning Engineer for Data Center projects will execute onsite commissioning plans, develop SOPs/MOPs, prepare and review commissioning test procedures and reports, maintain logs and checklists, and generate comprehensive reports with deficiencies and recommendations. The role involves reviewing design criteria, integrating system testing (including load bank testing), and conducting functional tests of electrical distribution, UPS, and standby generators. Lead and coordinate with external resources, participate in coordination meetings, and interface with clients, contractors, vendors, and owners. Field troubleshooting and use of testing equipment (Power Quality Analyzers, Power Disturbance Analyzers, Data loggers) are expected. Qualifications include 4-10+ years in Electrical Power Systems, a Bachelor's or Associate degree in Electrical Engineering (preferred), experience with data centers/colos/hyperscale environments, willingness to travel, strong written/verbal communication, and proficiency with MS Word/Excel/Project. Military experience a plus.
Required Qualifications
- 4-10+ years experience with Electrical Power Systems
- Bachelor's / Associates Degree as an Electrical Engineer a plus
- Experience commissioning enterprise data centers, colos, and hyperscale companies
- Willingness to travel
- A/E experience in complex facilities or mission critical projects a big plus
- Previous Data Center / Mission Critical experience a must
- Excellent communication skills
- Electrical equipment testing experience in a Critical Facilities environment
- Experience with Level 1-5 Commissioning
- Microsoft Word, Excel, and Project proficiency
