Job Summary
Direct journeymen, apprentices, and unlicensed workers on residential, commercial, and industrial electrical projects, overseeing installations, alterations, and repairs of systems and conductors. Plan work schedules, coordinate with superintendents and project managers, and troubleshoot all-electric systems while ensuring compliance with O.S.H.A. and company safety standards. Manage materials, tools, and time reporting to maintain clean job sites and meet project deadlines, operating power tools, trenchers, and lift trucks safely. Lead crews on projects under $1 million (Foreman I) or $1 million and above (Foreman II), evaluating performance and handling grievances. Requires Journeyman or Master's license and 6+ years of experience.
Required Qualifications
- Journeyman or Masters License
- Valid driver's license
- High School graduate, holder of G.E.D., or equivalent training
- Minimum of 6 years of previous experience
- Must be able to bend, stoop, squat, craw, climb, kneel, balance, push, pull, and reach overhead
- Ability to lift by oneself work loads of 51 lbs
- Possess good vision/hearing. (Normal or corrected)
- Must be able to utilize construction site sanitary facilities. (Porta-Johns)
- Must be able to safely use and instruct proper use of all power tools, saws, threaders, wire tuggers, hydraulic benders and KO punches
- Must be capable of digging trenches, either by use of hand tools or equipment
- Able to use 2 handed tools / equipment. (i.e. cable cutters, hammer drills, compression tools, jack hammers, etc.)
- Operate equipment, trenchers, backhoe, lift trucks in a safe manner
- Practices and comprehends safe work procedures as outlined in DKD's Safety Manual, Haz-Com Policy and Lockout/Tagout Policy
- Must use all power tools, saws, threaders, wire tuggers, hydraulic benders, and knockout punches
- Bend conduit by hand with hand benders
- Positively identify colors of wires
- Comprehends reading and drawing prints and schematics of same
- Must be able to run a job with a project cost of less than $1,000,000
- Must be able to run a job with a project cost of $1,000,000 or more
