Job Summary

Draft, revise, and finalize complete electrical schematics, power distribution systems, and control panel layouts for custom automation machinery. Produce multi-page drawing sets with an emphasis on accuracy, speed, and adherence to industrial electrical standards. Translate complex physical equipment layouts, including robotic welding cells and high-speed sorters, into clean, functional electrical schematics. Partner with panel build technicians and project engineers to ensure panel layouts align seamlessly with Bill of Materials specs and physical wiring constraints. Apply practical electrical component knowledge to design control panels streamlined for real-world assembly and field serviceability. This direct-hire opportunity is part of a rapidly expanding automation integrator that recently launched a modern UL panel production facility.

Required Qualifications

  • 5+ years of industrial electrical schematic design experience within a custom machine builder, robotics integrator, or material handling environment
  • High proficiency in specialized electrical design software (AutoCAD Electrical, SolidWorks Electrical, E-Plan, or Sky-Plan)
  • Deep understanding of real-world industrial power distribution, relay logic, sensor integration, safety circuits, and control panel design dynamics
  • Proven ability to manage multi-page drawing packages efficiently while maintaining flawless accuracy
  • A consistent career history
  • Residence within a comfortable commuting distance (~45 minutes) of the Greater Milwaukee area
  • Must be a US Citizen or Green Card holder
