Job Summary
Electrical Engineer – Buildings role based in Philadelphia, PA with a hybrid & flexible work option. Lead the design and integration of electrical systems in complex building projects, ensuring compliance with codes, safety standards, and client expectations. Perform load calculations, system simulations, and technical evaluations to deliver cost-effective, high-efficiency solutions. Prepare construction documents, specifications, and drawings using Revit MEP and AutoCAD. Conduct field assessments, building condition reviews, and zoning research to inform designs. Oversee shop drawing reviews and contractor submittals to maintain high engineering accuracy. Requires a Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering (preferred), 6–12 years of experience in building electrical design, and proficiency in Revit MEP and AutoCAD; familiarity with NEC, NFPA, and local codes. P.Eng./PE licensing is desirable but not mandatory; position offers flexible hybrid schedule and opportunities to work on iconic projects across multiple sectors.
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering preferred
- Licensed P.Eng. or PE, or actively pursuing professional registration is desirable
- 6–12 years of experience designing electrical systems for buildings
- Proficiency in Revit MEP, AutoCAD
- Solid understanding of building codes, NEC, NFPA, and local regulatory frameworks
