Job Summary
Electrical BIM Engineer responsible for developing, modeling, and maintaining detailed electrical BIM models using Revit/AutoCAD, coordinating with MEP teams for clash-free designs, performing clash detection, generating accurate drawings and schedules from BIM, ensuring compliance with local codes and project specs, organizing BIM data with naming/file conventions, collaborating with project managers, engineers, and contractors, translating design requirements into BIM representations, participating in BIM coordination meetings, and updating models to reflect design changes and project needs.
Required Qualifications
- 3-5 years of professional experience in electrical engineering, BIM coordination, or related field
- Advanced proficiency with BIM software, particularly Autodesk Revit or equivalent modeling platforms
- Strong knowledge of electrical systems, design principles, and MEP coordination workflows
- Solid understanding of building codes, electrical standards, and construction documentation requirements
- Demonstrated experience with clash detection tools and conflict resolution methodologies
- Proficiency in AutoCAD and other technical drawing software
- Strong organizational skills and ability to manage complex data and maintain detailed documentation
- Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities with meticulous attention to detail
- Experience coordinating with multidisciplinary teams on construction projects
- Familiarity with BIM protocols, standards, and best practices
- Ability to interpret technical specifications and architectural/engineering drawings
- Knowledge of Egyptian building codes and local construction standards is preferred
