Job Summary
Electrical Automation Technician responsible for monitoring and improving electromechanical systems, providing technical expertise, leading machine and program modifications in the field, and supporting critical troubleshooting on a night-shift crew. Responsibilities include safe work execution, teamwork, maintenance of electrical components and drives (VFDs, ABB drives), PLC/Ladder Logic programming and troubleshooting (Allen Bradley Studio 5000), reading prints, performing Root Cause Failure Analysis, contributing to 5S and continuous improvement initiatives, providing redline changes on drawings, and on-call support for troubleshooting. Requires high school diploma or GED, 4+ years in industrial maintenance, English proficiency, strong mechanical/electrical knowledge, and ability to work from blueprints and specifications; willingness to work night shifts and on-site in Clarksville, TN. Required Qualifications
- High school diploma or GED
- At least 4 years of maintenance experience in an industrial environment
- Good command of written and spoken English
- Mechanical knowledge of machines and tools, their design, use, repair and maintenance
- Strong knowledge of PLC (Programmable Logic Controller) and ladder logic
- Ability to read prints and troubleshoot electrical components
- Experience with VFD, HMI, AMC drives and ABB drives for Unit 1 area; AGV for Unit 2 area; HVAC systems
- Able to program, troubleshoot, and repair unit equipment
- Ability to perform Root Cause Failure Analysis investigations
- Interest in continuous improvement programs (5S)
- Ability to perform work safely per company standards
- On-call for critical troubleshooting
- Team collaboration across operations, quality, and EHS
- Physical ability to lift up to 50 pounds and work at heights
- Good written and verbal communication skills
- Experience with electrical/mechanical maintenance from blueprints or specifications
