Electrical Assistant Project Manager

Job Summary
Coordinate engineering studies, change orders, and estimating with engineers while managing submittals, RFIs, and requests for information. Work with owners and clients on specifications, planning stages, and monthly billing procedures to ensure projects meet budget and performance goals. Track job costs, predict revenue streams, and maintain prime contracts while resolving disputes and approving subcontractor payments. Manage document control using Bluebeam and SharePoint, oversee quality control programs, and conduct site visits to assess progress and mitigate supply chain issues. Collaborate with regional managers, vendors, and trade partners to improve project efficiency and profitability.
Required Qualifications
- 2+ years of electrical experience/knowledge of construction, design, and cost management as an Assistant Project Manager of Project Engineer with Commercial, Institutional projects
- BS in Construction Management, Electrical Engineering or equivalent work experience
- Experience preparing take-offs and estimates for change orders
- Advanced abilities in reading and interpreting plans and specifications
- Knowledge of NECA codes and TIA standards
- In-depth knowledge of NEC and the NFPA codes
- Strong problem-solving skills
- Thorough knowledge of all aspects of construction (technology, equipment, materials, means & methods, etc.)
- Understanding of Company and industry practices, processes, and standards and their impact on project activities
- Proficient in Microsoft software (Word, Excel, Outlook, Visio and Power Point), Bluebeam, ChangeOrder, and Accubid, or other estimation software, and BOS (Berg Operating System)
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills
- Capable of working independently as well as in a team environment
- Ability to present self in a professional manner and represent the company image
- Demonstrated track record of leadership and project success
- Ability to work in fast-paced setting
