Job Summary
Assemble and wire industrial control panels, power distribution systems, and field devices from engineering drawings. Interpret electrical schematics, PLC wiring diagrams, and component layouts to perform complete electrical assembly of custom infrared oven systems. Assist with mechanical and electrical field assembly during customer installations, commission new equipment, and verify proper operation before customer acceptance. Diagnose and troubleshoot electrical, PLC, instrumentation, and control system issues in both the shop and the field, providing technical service and support to customers during startup and post-installation. Ensure all electrical work complies with UL508A, UL/CSA, NEC, and company quality standards while performing functional testing and system validation prior to shipment. Maintain electrical documentation, update redline drawings, and support continuous product improvements. Travel approximately 20–30% throughout North America.
Required Qualifications
- Valid driver's license
- Ability to travel throughout North America
- 3–5 years of industrial electrical assembly or automation experience
- Experience with industrial control panels, relay logic, PLC systems, VFDs, HMIs, and temperature control systems
- Strong electrical troubleshooting skills
- Ability to lift 50 lbs
- Ability to work in industrial environments
Desired Qualifications
- Associate's or Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering, Industrial Technology, Electrical Systems, or related field
- UL508A experience
- OSHA-10 or OSHA-30 certification
- Willingness to obtain OSHA-10 or OSHA-30 certification
- Experience commissioning industrial equipment
- Experience installing equipment at customer facilities
- Experience with gas-fired or infrared heating systems
