Job Summary
Electrical Assembler responsible for point-to-point wiring of cabinets, chassis, panels, and full flight simulator systems wiring in a military aerospace setting. Build complex cable assemblies, read and follow wire lists and schematics, and assist with wire terminations, crimping, and installation within cabinets and on trainer systems. Role involves extensive travel (roughly half the year) to CONUS and OCONUS sites, with long workweeks while on installs, rotating shifts, and potential overtime. Per diem provided; travel and equipment expenses covered. Requires ability to travel to sites worldwide, read engineering orders and workmanship standards, and obtain necessary certifications (J-STD-001, IPC/WHMA-A-620). Must be a US citizen and eligible for government security clearance. Proactive in safety and capable of using hand and power tools to assemble and verify electrical harnesses under strict standards.
Required Qualifications
- High school diploma or general education degree
- One year certificate from college or technical school; equivalent combination of education and experience
- Minimum of 2-3 years’ experience in wire installation and termination
- Minimum of 2-3 years’ experience in soldering
- Must be a United States citizen
- Must be eligible for DOD Personal Security Clearance
- Must be able to travel to CONUS and OCONUS sites
- Must obtain J-STD-001 Soldering certification, IPC/WHMA-A-620 certification for manufacture of wire and harness assemblies
- Forklift certification
- Ability to read work orders, diagrams, and wire lists
- Proficiency with basic computer skills for time reporting and work order processing
- Ability to work rotating shifts and overtime when required
- Ability to climb/stoop/kneel/crouch/crawl as needed
- Ability to lift up to 50 pounds
