Job Summary
The Technical Training Consultant (Electrical Apprenticeship Instructor) leads and delivers Learning & Development technical and trade-related training for electrical/apprenticeship programs. Responsibilities include coordinating and facilitating classes, designing and developing curricula, conducting jobsite audits, and providing on-site coaching. The role collaborates with the Apprenticeship Team, develops content based on organizational needs, coaches employees on-site, and works with L&D and subject-matter experts to continuously improve programs. Ideal candidates have a PC/MS Office proficiency, audiovisual equipment familiarity, knowledge of electrical/related trades, and a grounding in adult education principles. Up to 25% travel; typical hours 6:00 a.m.–6:00 p.m.; equal opportunity employer.
Required Qualifications
- Education: Completion of an apprenticeship program or an Associate Degree or Bachelor's Degree
- Experience: Strong technical background, 5 years related experience in electrical/specialty systems or related trade, and 1 to 2 years facilitation experience
- Travel: Up to 25%
- Work Schedule: Typical work hours 6:00 a.m. to 6:00 p.m. Monday – Friday; may vary to meet business needs
