Job Summary
Teach the nationally accredited IEC first-year apprenticeship curriculum, covering electrical theory, National Electrical Code requirements, and industry best practices. Lead classroom instruction, discussions, demonstrations, and hands-on learning activities while evaluating apprentice progress and providing coaching. Serve as a mentor and role model for future electricians by creating an engaging environment and working closely with Teague Electric and IEC staff to ensure success. This part-time role involves approximately 5 hours per week per class in daytime sessions at our Lenexa, Kansas training facility.
Required Qualifications
- Current Journeyman or Master Electrician license
- Strong understanding of the National Electrical Code and electrical theory
Desired Qualifications
- Commercial electrical experience preferred
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
- Passion for teaching, coaching, and developing others
- Previous instructional or training experience
