Job Summary
Electrical Apprentice in the Civil Division performing hands-on electrical tasks outdoors on large-scale construction projects across Nebraska. Core duties include assisting licensed electricians with installing conduit, wiring, lighting, and control systems; performing underground electrical work (trenching and pole setting); operating hand and power tools; assisting with job-site layout and measurements; maintaining safety and organization; and adhering to OSHA/DOT standards. Requires prior construction experience, a valid driver’s license, clean criminal background, ability to pass background check and drug screen, and the ability to work outdoors in all weather conditions. Per diem of $125/day while traveling, with home every weekend; position offers overtime, on-the-job training, and potential advancement, with steady year-round work.
Required Qualifications
- Previous construction experience required (civil, utility, or electrical preferred)
- Valid driver’s license with a good driving record
- Must have a clean criminal background
- Ability to pass a background check and drug screen
- Ability to work outdoors in all weather conditions
- Physically able to perform manual labor
- Strong work ethic, teamwork skills, and attention to detail
