Job Summary
Electrical Applications Engineer role based in Pittsburgh, PA. Bridge between customers and engineering teams; select equipment, manage procurement, and prepare compliant quotations (including BOM, TCO, drawings, scope of work, and procedures). Negotiate contracts and pricing to support sales margins; build relationships and identify opportunities with existing/prospective accounts. Develop and track project plans; provide technical application engineering support; coordinate with internal teams for on-site service guidance; represent the organization in technical meetings and site walkthroughs. Track project status and ensure documentation per quality processes. Propose cost-saving opportunities and value engineering; create, present, and review electrical schematics and diagrams; communicate technical solutions and product capabilities; collaborate to mitigate commercial, technical, and delivery risks; plan and lead factory witness tests; promote a professional image with stakeholders.
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering preferred
- 5-7+ years of Power product applications, outside technical sales, and/or Electrical Power experience
- Strong understanding of data center infrastructure and mission-critical environments
- Excellent analytical skills with the ability to interpret market data and translate into business action
- Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite (PowerPoint, Excel, Word, Outlook, Teams, etc.)
- Strong presentation and communication skills; able to influence internal and external stakeholders
- Demonstrated project leadership, including scheduling, cross-functional collaboration, and milestone tracking
- Previous military experience a huge plus (Navy Nukes/Generators, Army Power Generation, etc.)
