Electrical Applications Engineer

Job Summary
Electrical Applications Engineer to design and present electrical distribution solutions for data-center facilities. Responsibilities include managing projects, creating conceptual designs from client or internal inputs, responding to RFPs, reviewing shop drawings and submittals, and coordinating with management to identify and mitigate risks. The role requires developing electrical schematics and system diagrams, using BIM/Revit for drawings, preparing construction documents and sequences of operations, and effectively communicating technical solutions to internal stakeholders and external customers. Candidate should have 4-10+ years of power systems experience, a Bachelor's in Electrical Engineering, and familiarity with UPS, batteries, switchgear, busways, and medium/high voltage systems. Prior experience with data centers or mission-critical facilities is a plus; strong organizational and multitasking abilities, and proficiency with Microsoft Office are expected.
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor's Degree in Electrical Engineering
- 4-10+ years experience as a Power Systems Electrical Engineer
- Experience working for MEP / A/E Firms
- Licensed PE / EIT a Plus
- Experience with BIM / Revit
- Experience on data center / mission critical projects a plus
- Strong understanding of data center infrastructure and mission-critical environments
- Ability to read electrical schematics and specifications
- Ability to work independently
- Effective communicator (emails, phone, in-person)
