Job Summary
Troubleshoot and diagnose electrical, electronic, instrumentation, and process control issues using appropriate tools and software. Test, repair, and maintain process instrumentation, including flow meters, level transmitters, and related equipment. Program, troubleshoot, and maintain PLC and DCS systems while interpreting schematics and blueprints. Repair and maintain electrical, electronic, and electromechanical production equipment, collecting and analyzing input/output data to monitor performance. Complete documentation, control records, and drawings to reflect process improvements. Coordinate and oversee contractor and vendor activities to improve equipment reliability. Follow all safety, quality, sanitation, and company procedures. Requires rotating shift schedule and three years of strong industrial electrical background in a manufacturing environment.
Required Qualifications
- Must be able to work on a rotating shift schedule
- High school diploma or general education degree (GED)
- Three years of strong industrial electrical background in a manufacturing environment
- Experience with variable frequency drives and smart field instruments (i.e. pressure, flow, temperature, level and analytical transmitters, valve positioners, valve actuators and PID controllers)
- Understanding of the working components of PLC/DCS systems
Desired Qualifications
- 2-year certification from college or technical school or equivalent combination of education, training, and/or experience in Electrical Engineering, Electronics
- Strong electronics background
- Experience also in 480 volt, 2300 volt, 35k volts, 3-Phase Controls
- AB/Rockwell DC Drive
- AB/Rockwell PLC's
- Control Logic
- Reading Electrical Drawings and Ladder Logic
