Job Summary
Oversee multiple fast-paced electrical and controls installation projects for material handling and distribution center facilities, coordinating field supervisors, electricians, subcontractors, and vendors to ensure safe, on-schedule, and on-budget completion. Conduct project progress reviews, manage procurement and site logistics, and implement corrective action plans for schedule risks or field issues. Interpret electrical one-lines, layout drawings, and installation prints while maintaining strict adherence to NEC standards and OSHA compliance. Monitor project budgets and support resolution of installation progress impacts. Requires experience managing industrial electrical crews, working with major logistics clients like Amazon and FedEx, and traveling to project sites as needed.
Required Qualifications
- Experience managing industrial electrical and controls installation projects
- Background with an electrical contractor performing installation and controls installation work in light industrial or distribution center environments
- Experience managing electrical crews and/or subcontracted electricians
- Experience managing procurement, material delivery, and site logistics
- Conduct project progress reviews and provide regular reporting
- Ability to identify schedule risks and implement corrective action plans
- Ability to support resolution of field issues impacting installation progress
- Experience with material handling systems, conveyor power and controls installation, or warehouse buildouts
- Strong working knowledge of NEC and industrial electrical standards
- Strong working knowledge of industrial ethernet, controls and programming functions
- Ability to review and interpret electrical one-lines, layout drawings, and installation prints
- Experience managing multiple fast-paced installation projects simultaneously
- Experience in monitoring project budgets and maintaining cost control
- Ensure adherence to safety standards and OSHA compliance
- Travel to project sites as required
- Valid driver's license
- Ability to pass a background check and drug screening
Desired Qualifications
- Experience working in distribution facilities for Amazon, FedEx, UPS, DHL, or similar logistics clients
- Experience with power distribution systems (480V), MCCs, panels, conduit, and cable tray installations
- PMP certification (preferred but not required)
- Proficiency with scheduling software (MS Project or similar)
