Job Summary

Perform maintenance and modifications on assigned aircraft using electrical, electronic, pneumatic, and test support equipment. Operationally check all systems, sub-systems, and associated line replaceable units for removal and installation. Troubleshoot, inspect, remove, install, repair, modify, overhaul, and operate aircraft electrical systems, components, and associated support equipment. Interpret and advise on maintenance procedures and policies to repair aircraft and related equipment. Recommend methods to improve equipment performance and maintenance. This role requires a minimum of five years of electrical experience in fighter/attack/bomber aircraft maintenance, including Avionics system modifications via routing and terminating various wire types. An active U.S. SECRET clearance is mandatory.

Required Qualifications

  • Minimum of five (5) years total electrical experience in Fighter/Attack/Bomber (preferably F-16) aircraft maintenance as an electrician
  • Must have experience working with aircraft wiring, technicians will be installing Avionics system modifications by routing, terminating 10/100 and Gig Ethernet wiring, copper wires, primary power wires, Coaxial wires , shielded twisted pairs/triplets, and possibly triaxial wires/connectors
  • Must have the ability to properly handle, use, and dispose of hazardous waste and materials
  • Must have ability to obtain and maintain an active U.S. SECRET clearance and be subject to a government security investigation
  • Valid driver's license
  • Normal color vision as defined by GMRE, with a passing score of 75% or greater
  • Must be able to lift up to 50 pounds at times
  • Must be available to respond on short notice as needed
  • Ability to maintain regular attendance and punctuality
  • Ability to work flexible hours
  • Occasional travel - You may be expected to travel for this position for meetings, trainings, and/or site visits

  • Ability to interpret the meaning of symbols used in wiring diagrams, blueprints, and schematics
