Electric Utility - Field Technician

Job Summary
Conduct field inspections to examine utility poles, record span lengths and attachment heights, and identify National Electric Safety Code violations. Utilize insulated measuring tools to document conductor sizes and hardware, then upload photos to the design team's designated spaces. Navigate independently to new locations, interpret maps and construction prints to verify accuracy against design specs, and maintain detailed communication with coordinators while ensuring all work meets specifications. Perform physical labor involving continuous walking, driving, and lifting up to 50 pounds in various weather conditions. Requires 100% travel, 10–12-hour workdays, and weekend availability.
Required Qualifications

- Excellent written and verbal communication, with strong interpersonal skills
- Excellent organizational skills with attention to detail, multitasking ability, and strong analytical and problem solving skills
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Excel, Word, Outlook, Teams)
- Willing to work extended hours, including weekends, and travel 100% of the time
- Ability to perform physical labor in various weather conditions for extended periods
- Must currently be eligible to work in the United States of America
- High School diploma or GED
- Above all, a tenacious work ethic is a necessity
- Ability to pass a drug test, background check, and Motor Vehicle Record check
Desired Qualifications
- Strong photography skills for field documentation
- Experience using compasses, range finders, and geographic data recording tools
- First Aid, AED, CPR Certification
- OSHA 10/30 Certification
- Defensive Driving Training
