Job Summary
Review and transfer field design notes to project drawings and material lists while performing standard computations and analysis. Create plan and profile design drawings in AutoCAD and apply design standards for overhead and underground distribution projects. Compile design packages for construction by entering data into infrastructure management software such as NISC, NIS, Partner, Futura, and AeGIS to produce construction specifications. Perform quality reviews of project deliverables. No experience necessary; training provided. Report to the Houston, Texas office.

Desired Qualifications
- Familiarity with the design and operation of utility electrical systems
- General experience in the design, operation, construction, and maintenance of overhead and underground distribution lines (4 kV through 35 kV)
- Strong familiarity with construction processes
- A two-year technical certificate or degree
- Exposure to utility Geographical Information Systems (GIS)
- Strong written and verbal communication skills
- Strong skills of time management, organization and multi-tasking
- Ability to work in design teams
- Self-motivation to perform assigned tasks
- Initiative to learn the trade
- Strong computer skills
- Ability to learn new software packages efficiently
- Ability to retain and apply on the job training
- Ability to use design software packages
- General construction knowledge and aptitude
