Job Summary

Supervise and coordinate daily work of electrician crews for installation, repair, and maintenance of plant low voltage electrical facilities. Interpret laboratory policies for performance management, including feedback, training, hiring, discipline, and interviews. Schedule work assignments from job orders and blueprints, solve problems, and ensure compliance with Federal, State, and safety requirements. Establish productivity goals, analyze data for reports, and maintain relationships with clients and management across Sites 200 and 300. Perform other duties as assigned. This full-time on-site role requires a U.S. DOE Q-level clearance, extensive journey-level experience with low-voltage systems, and ability to work all shifts including off-hours on-call rotation. Valid California Driver's License required.

Required Qualifications

  • Ability to secure and maintain a U.S. DOE Q-level security clearance which requires U.S. citizenship
  • Extensive journey-level work experience and abilities with low-voltage systems and equipment, including experience with construction, test equipment, tools, and/or maintenance
  • Technical, administrative, and supervisory skills and experience including independent decision making, workload scheduling, labor utilization, implementation of policies and procedures, execution of disciplinary action, and completion of performance appraisals
  • Intermediate experience providing direction and adjusting work activities to meet changing requirements as well as motivate, train, develop, and provide guidance with an emphasis on teamwork
  • Advanced skills in the application of Federal, State, and local safety policies, laws, and regulations
  • Advanced interpersonal and written communication experience to be able to collaborate effectively with all levels of technical, administrative, and management personnel
  • Proficiency using personal computers and software, including the ability to analyze data, prepare, and present reports
  • Ability to work scheduled and emergency overtime work, including off-hours on-call rotation, and be able to work all shifts and in all buildings and areas of the Laboratory, including Site 300
  • Valid California Driver's License
