Job Summary
Manage the 24/7 real-time SCADA control system through implementation, integration, operation, and maintenance, including data analysis, screen development, and database updates. Create display screens for electrical substations, work with Substation Technicians for point-to-point checkout, and troubleshoot SEL relays and DNP3 networking while configuring alarms and sensors. Lead innovation by leveraging automation and analytics to enhance grid reliability, design new control systems, and assist contractor teams with hardware and communication protocols. Collect and present data in written and electronic reports, write test procedures, and provide consultancy support to clients and internal engineering staff.
Required Qualifications
- Associates degree
- Five years or more work experience
- Field of study in Computer Science or related field
- Experience with SurvalentONE ADMS
- Ability to understand As-Builts E&S and R&C substation diagrams or other related documentation of electrical Substations, as well as electrical and field instrumentation such as relays, breakers, and PT/CT transducers
- Knowledge of electrical distribution operations and procedures
- Ability to use Microsoft Office applications
- Good oral and written communications skills
Desired Qualifications
- Experience with Schweitzer Engineering Laboratories products
- Experience with Beckwith LTC's
- Knowledge of and working experience with Survalent ADMS
- Familiar with electrical industry standards on electrical SEL relays and design protocols
- Ability to understand engineering concepts and convert to computer graphics
- Experience with Microsoft SQL Server
