Job Summary
The EPG Training Instructor is responsible for organizing, conducting and evaluating technical training courses and projects for employees, with courses focused on power systems/generator content. Requires travel with overnight travel and strong presentation and verbal/written communication skills. Must have an excellent driving record. Proficient in electrical system design software and multimedia training platforms; experience with Caterpillar engines used for power generation products is a plus. Training will be provided; shift is 1st at Elkridge, MD. The role emphasizes delivering engaging material on electric power generation principles, load calculations, and system troubleshooting, and upholding core values in a collaborative environment.
Required Qualifications
- Minimum 2 years' diesel engine, electrical and/or power generation experience, required
- Formal training related to electric power generation, preferred
- Experience presenting material in an engaging manner preferred but training will be provided
- Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite and related program software
- Familiarity with industry standards and codes, such as IEEE, NFPA, and NEC
