Job Summary
Diagnose, troubleshoot and repair basic operational failures to electrical generator systems and basic engine failures or related components. Must have experience diagnosing and troubleshooting basic engine failures and performing mechanical repairs to electrical generator systems and related equipment or completed EPG Apprenticeship program. Proficiency with technical software, databases and manuals is required; strong communication and customer-service skills; ability to work independently and as part of a team; willing to travel for training; able to handle stressful situations and prioritize workload.
Required Qualifications
- High school diploma or GED required
- Must have excellent troubleshooting and analytical skills
- Must have excellent mechanical aptitude
- Must be able to work independently and as part of a team
- Must be able to interact professionally with customers and all levels of personnel within the organization
- Must be a strong communicator with excellent verbal and written communications skills
- Must be able to perform well under stressful situations
- Must be able to demonstrate the ability to learn and apply new knowledge
- Must be self-starter and well organized with the ability to prioritize workload while providing excellent customer service
- Must have an excellent driving record
- Must be able to work additional hours as required and travel as needed to attend training
- Must be proficient in the use of technical software, databases and manuals
