Job Summary
Electric Power Generation (EPG) Field Technician responsible for diagnosing, troubleshooting, and repairing complex operational failures in electrical generator systems and related engine equipment at customer sites. Requires minimum three years of EPG/electronics field experience, experience with megger and vibration testing, genset alignment, and installing/commissioning gensets. High school diploma or GED required. Must demonstrate strong troubleshooting, analytical, mechanical aptitude, and communication skills; capable of working independently or in a team; able to travel and obtain CDL/DOT if needed. Compensation includes a competitive hourly rate, sign-on bonus opportunities, and a comprehensive benefits package.
Required Qualifications
- Minimum of three years’ Electrical Power Generation (EPG)/electronics field experience diagnosing, troubleshooting and repairing complex issues to electrical generator systems and related equipment
- Experience performing megger testing and vibration testing
- Experience installing and commissioning gensets
- High school diploma or GED
- Excellent troubleshooting and analytical skills
- Mechanical aptitude
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team
- Strong communication skills (verbal and written)
- Ability to work under stressful situations
- Self-directed and well organized with ability to prioritize workload
- Valid driving record and ability to obtain CDL and/or DOT certification
- Willingness to travel/out-of-town and out-of-country as required
- Proficiency in use of technical software, databases and manuals
- Ability to promote positive customer experience
