Job Summary
Experienced Motor Winder needed to rewind/repair AC and DC motors, perform electrical tests (surge, hi-pot, megger), and document testing activities. Rewind 3-phase form coils and random wound stators from 115V to 12.0 KV, rewind DC armatures/fields with precision, and ensure safety and performance standards. Requires minimum 5 years of motor rewind experience, high school diploma or equivalent, ability to operate electrical testing equipment, and comfort with overtime. Company provides testing equipment and offers benefits and training. Based in Norfolk, VA with standard on-site responsibilities.
Required Qualifications
- Minimum 5 years of motor rewind experience
- High school diploma or equivalent
- Proficient in operating and interpreting results from standard electrical testing equipment
- Strong mechanical and electrical aptitude with attention to detail
- Must provide own basic hand tools
- Excellent communication skills with the ability to work independently or in a team environment
- Ability to lift and carry up to 50 lbs, stand/walk for extended periods, and perform precise winding tasks
- Willingness to work overtime as required
