Job Summary
Lead the ePowertrain team to develop electric motor solutions for ENC’s electric vehicles. Responsibilities include modeling, architecting, and optimizing propulsion systems; gathering requirements from internal customers, market demands, and competitive assessments; integrating the eDrive design with vehicle and motor control teams; performing root cause failure analysis of eMotor systems; identifying opportunities for product improvements; participating in field performance reviews and communicating technical knowledge to field support personnel; understanding electric motor losses and flux to develop test plans and measurements; leading the team to characterize motors and operate end-of-line testing; exploring and designing innovative motor technologies. Requires hands-on experience with electric vehicle integration, the commercial vehicle industry, motor assembly, and motor characterization; BS in a relevant engineering field and 5 years of experience; onsite in Riverside, CA.
Required Qualifications
- BS degree in Electrical Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, or similar engineering field
- 5 years of experience with electrical machine, or electric drive product development
- Ability to solve problems, troubleshoot, and perform root cause analysis
