Job Summary
Receive and process waiting list forms from specialist clinics and private rooms within the stipulated time frame per DHHS Planned Surgery Access Policy. Accurately create, record, and update the Waiting List Screen on the Patient Administration System (PAS). Contact patients and schedule admission for procedures, including preadmission clinics, anaesthetic clinics, and perioperative medicine unit investigations as requested by Surgical Liaison Nurses. Manage the care of patients on the elective surgery and endoscopy waiting list from placement through to scheduled procedure. This role supports the Planned Surgery Management Team at St Vincent's Hospital on the Park, a leading tertiary health service in Melbourne.
Required Qualifications
- Relevant experience in administration in a healthcare role
- Experience with patient administration systems
- Working knowledge of Microsoft office including Outlook, MS Teams, SharePoint, Word and Excel
- Current National criminal history check, or willing to obtain
- You may therefore be required to undergo mandatory immunisations/vaccinations (including flu vaccinations)
- Must be able to lift 50 lbs
