Job Summary

Elections Manager sought by NYCHA Voter Engagement to plan and execute Tenant Association elections across developments, manage Election Associates, and develop individualized engagement and voting plans for new development voting sites. Responsibilities include coordinating schedules and communications, conducting door-knocking, phone-banking, and community events, serving as a point of contact for residents and stakeholders, tracking election timelines and results, presenting materials at meetings, cultivating relationships with tenant leaders and external partners, and analyzing data to improve civic engagement initiatives. Requires a bachelor’s degree (or equivalent) and relevant community-work experience; strong engagement, organizational, and communication skills; and knowledge of housing policy. Location: New York, NY; in-person work arrangement.

Required Qualifications

  • A baccalaureate degree from an accredited college and two years of experience in community work or community centered activities in an area related to the duties described above; or High school graduation or equivalent and six years of experience in community work or community centered activities in an area related to the duties as described above; or Education and/or experience which is equivalent to "1" or "2" above. However, all candidates must have at least one year of experience as described in "1" above.
