Job Summary
Assist elderly clients with activities of daily living including bathing, grooming, dressing, and toileting. Monitor and record vital signs, health changes, and patient progress while administering medications as directed. Provide companionship and emotional support, assist with mobility and transfers, and prepare meals. Perform light housekeeping duties to maintain a safe environment and communicate effectively with supervisors regarding client needs. Active Certified Nursing Assistant certification in Connecticut is required, with prior experience preferred. Valid driver's license and reliable transportation are preferred. CPR/First Aid certification is a plus.
Required Qualifications
- Active Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA) certification in the state of Connecticut
- Reliable, punctual, and able to work independently with minimal supervision
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
Desired Qualifications
- Prior experience in elderly care, home health, or a related caregiving setting preferred
- Strong knowledge of senior care best practices and patient safety protocols
- Valid driver's license and reliable transportation preferred
- CPR/First Aid certification is a plus
- Warm, empathetic, and patient demeanor with a genuine passion for elder care
