Job Summary
Elder Advocate conducts intake assessments, provides ongoing case management, coordinates services (e.g., chore service, respite care, transportation), collaborates with tribal and community teams, refers elders to appropriate resources, and supports training and outreach for elder care; also handles vehicle-related duties and maintains records while ensuring confidentiality and compliance with tribal and regulatory requirements.
Required Qualifications
- High School Diploma or GED
- Experience working with elders and vulnerable adults
- Valid Alaska state driver’s license and insurability (or MOU if using a non-driver option)
- Current First Aid & CPR Certification, or within 90 days of hire
- Ability to lift 30 lbs
- Proficiency with Microsoft Suite
- Good oral & written communication skills
- Strong customer service skills
