Job Summary
The ELC Assistant Teacher position at the Austin Early Learning Center involves providing nurturing care and educational support to children aged five and younger under the guidance of lead teachers. Requires flexibility, relevant experience, and certifications in first aid and CPR.
Required Qualifications
- 18 years of age or older
- High school graduate or equivalent
- One or more years of experience working with children ages five years and younger
- Current state approved first-aid certification
- Current state approved infant/child CPR certification
- TB test or signed statement from a medical provider showing negative results for tuberculosis
- Medical Physical Exam required by DHS
- Completion of minimum STARS required training
Desired Qualifications
- Experience working with children aged five years and younger
- Knowledge of diverse populations
- Ability to speak a second language
Additional Requirements
- Must meet all other required qualifications set by DHS - child care licensing
