Job Summary
ELA Teacher responsible for creating a multicultural, gender-fair classroom environment and delivering instruction in English Language Arts for Marion Community Schools. Develops developmentally appropriate, engaging lessons aligned with curricula; fosters critical thinking, reasoning, and problem solving; assesses student learning using multiple methods; collaborates with families, peers, and community resources; participates in ongoing professional development; models and upholds professional standards and confidentiality. Requires knowledge of effective instructional strategies, classroom management, and meeting diverse student needs; emphasizes culturally responsive teaching and equity in student outcomes.
Required Qualifications
- A valid Indiana teaching license, certificate, or other legal credentials required for level of assignment.
