Job Summary
Design and deliver engaging, standards-aligned EL instruction across Glen Acres and East Bradford Elementary Schools, integrating real-world applications and culturally responsive strategies. Establish a supportive classroom environment where students feel valued and challenged, while using formative and summative assessments to monitor progress and adjust teaching to meet diverse learning needs. Communicate effectively with families as partners in student learning, maintain accurate instructional records, and collaborate with colleagues to improve outcomes. Uphold district policies and Pennsylvania Department of Education requirements while engaging in continuous professional learning aligned to district priorities. This 10-month substitute role supports a district with a 95% graduation rate and a commitment to equity-centered teaching.
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree
- Possession of a valid Pennsylvania teaching certification appropriate to assignment OR the ability to obtain necessary emergency certification based on the district's needs
- Demonstrated commitment to equity-centered teaching and continuous improvement
- Strong instructional planning, classroom management, and communication skills
