Job Summary
The Service Assistant will maintain a clean, safe, organized, and guest-ready restaurant environment while supporting front-of-house and back-of-house operations. Responsibilities include guest service support, dining room maintenance, stocking, sanitation, food safety, and ensuring Colton El Pollo Loco brand standards are met to deliver an exceptional guest experience. Key duties include greeting guests, assisting with dining room needs, maintaining cleanliness of dining areas and restrooms, stocking supplies, following food safety procedures, reporting hazards, assisting with shift transitions, and performing general cleaning and support tasks as assigned. The role involves standing/walking for extended periods and flexible scheduling including mornings, evenings, weekends, and holidays in a fast-paced restaurant setting.
Required Qualifications
- Previous restaurant, janitorial, hospitality, or customer service experience preferred but not required.
- Strong customer service and communication skills.
- Ability to follow food safety and sanitation procedures.
- Ability to work in a fast-paced, team-oriented environment.
- Ability to safely use cleaning equipment and chemicals.
- Ability to work flexible schedules including mornings, evenings, weekends, and holidays.
- Basic literacy and communication skills required.
