Job Summary
The EL Service Assistant provides guest-ready dining room support and ensures cleanliness and safety across front-of-house and back-of-house operations. Responsibilities include greeting guests, assisting with dining room needs, maintaining cleanliness of dining and guest areas, stocking supplies, adhering to food safety and sanitation procedures, handling deliveries and stocking, supporting shift transitions, and performing general cleaning and maintenance tasks. Requires strong customer service, teamwork, ability to follow instructions, and flexibility to work varied schedules in a fast-paced restaurant environment to uphold El Pollo Loco brand standards.
Required Qualifications
- Previous restaurant, janitorial, hospitality, or customer service experience preferred but not required.
- Strong customer service and communication skills.
- Ability to follow food safety and sanitation procedures.
- Ability to work in a fast-paced, team-oriented environment.
- Ability to safely use cleaning equipment and chemicals.
- Ability to work flexible schedules including mornings, evenings, weekends, and holidays.
- Basic literacy and communication skills required.
