Job Summary
As a Shift Leader at El Pollo Loco, you will oversee team members in the absence of management, coach and train staff on procedures, and ensure compliance with safety and cleanliness standards. You will be responsible for opening and closing the restaurant, creating superior guest experiences, and contributing to cost and profit goals. The role requires a high school diploma or equivalent, with experience as a certified Crew Member or in restaurant supervision. Strong communication skills and a ServSafe Certificate are also required.
Required Qualifications
- Must be an EPL Crew Member certified on all EPL SPECS positions or have 1 or more years of restaurant supervisory experience
- Must have a ServSafe Certificate at the time of hire or obtain a ServSafe Certificate, where applicable
- Basic math and computer skills
- Customer service skills
- Able to lift objects up to 40lbs
Desired Qualifications
- Second language is a plus
- Excellent written and verbal English communication skills
