Job Summary
As a Shift Leader at El Pollo Loco, you will oversee Team Members in the absence of management, coach and train staff on policies and procedures, and ensure compliance with food safety and cleanliness standards. You will provide exceptional guest experiences, manage restaurant operations including opening and closing procedures, and contribute to achieving profitability goals. A high school diploma or equivalent is preferred, along with supervisory experience or EPL Crew Member certification. Excellent communication, basic math, and customer service skills are essential.
Required Qualifications
- Must be an EPL Crew Member certified on all EPL SPECS positions or have 1 or more years of restaurant supervisory experience
- High School diploma or equivalent (GED) preferred
- Must have a ServSafe Certificate at the time of hire or obtain a ServSafe Certificate, where applicable

- Customer service skills
Additional Requirements
- A Consumer Report may be procured for employment purposes.
- Must pass the EPL Food Safety Audit (FSA) class upon hire.
