EL/ML Teacher - Michigan Connections Academy

EL/ML Teacher will virtually manage instructional programs for English Language Learner (ELL) students via telephone and Internet using various curriculum tools; consult with students, learning coaches, and teachers to ensure success; coordinate language proficiency screenings as mandated in Michigan; ensure state timelines are met; attend local/state professional development; collaborate with stakeholders to support student learning; review curriculum and adapt lessons to improve understanding; maintain regular communication with parents and students to develop ELL Program Plans; conduct timely ELL-focused conferences; become proficient with supplemental programs to support English learners in virtual settings; design and facilitate staff professional learning on ELL; perform other duties as assigned; travel to in-person events including State Testing is required throughout the school year; some evenings may be required.
