Job Summary
Prepare ingredients including marinating chicken, chopping produce, portioning proteins, and preparing salsas according to El Pollo Loco’s recipes and brand standards. Follow approved recipes and prep lists, label/date/rotate items per FIFO, and assist with basic cooking or grill support. Maintain clean prep areas and equipment, monitor levels, and communicate shortages or quality concerns. Ensure food safety and sanitation to prevent cross-contamination, follow safety policies, and work collaboratively with cooks and grill staff. Flexible shifts required (mornings/nights/weekends/holidays) in a fast-paced restaurant kitchen.
Required Qualifications
- Previous food prep or kitchen experience preferred but not required.
