Job Summary
Prep Cook role to prepare ingredients and food items per El Pollo Loco recipes and safety standards. Responsibilities include marinating chicken, chopping produce, portioning proteins, preparing salsas, labeling/rotating items per FIFO, assisting with grill support, maintaining clean prep areas, and ensuring food safety and sanitation. Must work with cooks/grill staff, follow managers’ directions, and adapt to a fast-paced kitchen with variable schedules (mornings/nights/weekends/holidays).
